From maker bench to dancefloor

Every harness is hand-stitched in a single Berlin workshop. Addressable RGB LED strips are embroidered along every leather strap, driven by a WLAN-enabled LED controller with buddy-sync.

One workshop in the Uckermark. Born on Berlin floors.

ravewear is a one-person workshop in the Uckermark, an hour north of Berlin. Every harness, every belt is hand-stitched, and every LED strip is soldered and sewn in by hand. Small batches, no factory, no mass production.

Battery life

A single USB-C charge lasts 6-8h at medium brightness. Battery pack is tucked into the harness back panel and easy to swap.
How buddy-sync works
+
All ravewear suits in the same WLAN discover each other via mDNS. The phone streams DDP over UDP at 30 fps to every buddy - one pattern, sub-frame latency, no leader/follower setup. BPM detection happens on the phone via the mic.
Trigger sources: AUTO, MIC, MOTION

MIC uses the phone microphone to detect BPM live. MOTION reads your hips through the phone accelerometer for warm-ups and ambient sets. AUTO switches between the two based on which one is stable right now. All three run on the phone - no cloud, no calibration.
STBY, SLOW, BEAT modes

Three energy tempos on the Rave Mode dashboard. STBY calms the suit for the smoke break. SLOW breathes with the warm-up. BEAT pops on every kick. Change with one tap - the next downbeat lands on the new mode with no visible cut.
How many effects are there

60+ curated effects across 5 pages in the picker, plus a Brand-Farben preset that locks the whole crew to magenta / cyan / purple. Every preset shows a live thumbnail of its palette and motion so you know what you are picking before you tap.
Group photo mode
+
Tap GRUPPEN-FOTO and every buddy freezes on a photogenic still frame - full magenta bloom, no strobing. Perfect for the group shot without epilepsy warnings. Tap again to drop back into the rave.
Firmware updates
+
One-tap OTA update inside the app pulls the newest firmware from ravewear.shop, checks sha256, and flashes over WLAN. Auto-check is on, auto-install is off by default - you decide when to update during a live show.
Privacy

Nothing leaves your phone. No account, no analytics, no third-party sync. The microphone audio never leaves the local BPM pipeline - only the extracted BPM number goes on the wire.
Washing

LEDs and controller are silicone-coated but not machine-washable. Wipe with a damp cloth, spot-clean the leather with saddle soap. Batteries out for storage.
